I've read a few books about other peoples experiences of doing business in china and remembered a quote today... 'everday in china you see something that you don't see every day' which always rings true ... so i'm planning to add a new little feature to my blog ... JinTian de Xin de shenme DongXi! (.. sth like todays new thing!).... maybe ill abbreviate it to 'shenme donxi' which is what thing ... which ultimately means just 'something'.

For example today on the subway there was a guy solving the rubiks cube ... it was amazing... he messed up the puzzle without looking then solved it in about a minute ... he redid that twice and could see me watching and to prove it was messed up well he clicked out the centre pieces and shuffled them around! within about 5 subway stops he had solved the puzzle about 5 times!!! He was an obvious expert and then he was tweaking the screws to make sure he could flick it perfectly with a swipe of an index finger! Subway stops are only about a minute apart!!!

Then further along on my daily walk past the big red wall (see pic below) in front of the forbidden city was a guy pushing a lawn mower along ... on a bike!! hahahaha which is the equivalent of seeing someone riding a push bike down north terrace whilst pushing the mower along ... it was something like your regular old backyard victa variety.

Unfortunately the current status of having our stuff between 2 place resulted in me forgetting the camera again today so heres an old 'shenme dongxi' !!! We were visiting the area where Monkey Majic was filmed!! ... and ... well need i say more ... he got a piece of fruit for a reward and the owner makes a living selling photo ops ... 10 kuai for a weiguoren!! Nice yellow suit!

OK China isn't all about big red walls and ancient buildings! Heres an Audi R8 ..... nhhhiiiiiice! now forget the TT this thing is awesome ... it's been on display in the 'Oriental Plaza' audi show room for quite some time ... I guess the 2,500,000 (yep 2.5 mil) RMB price tag is a bit of a deal breaker ... but i had to ask! Ok now where did i park my electric bike.
